Senior Fullstack Engineer - AI & Internal Tooling

• The Senior Fullstack Engineer will join Oura’s Tooling and Releases squads to build an AI-powered internal hub and bespoke tooling that scale operations.
• The role involves end-to-end development of secure, scalable internal applications including TypeScript frontends (React or Vue), Python or Rust backends, AI agentic workflows, and cloud infrastructure managed with Pulumi or Helm.
• Candidates must have advanced TypeScript and modern frontend framework experience, strong production API skills in Python or Rust, familiarity with PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases, and practical AWS and containerization experience.

About the role

As a Senior Fullstack Engineer, you will contribute to the Tooling and Releases squads, building the heartbeat of Oura's operations. You will focus on creating an AI-powered internal hub and bespoke tooling that empowers teams to scale without compromising speed. This role combines discovery work with high-impact execution in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Work tasks

This role involves end-to-end development of internal tools, from designing sophisticated frontends to managing high-performance backend services and cloud infrastructure, with a heavy focus on AI integration.

• Design and implement secure, scalable internal applications for feature rollouts and troubleshooting workflows.
• Lead frontend excellence by creating performant UIs using TypeScript with React or Vue and Vite.
• Develop high-availability, low-latency backend services using Python or Rust.
• Integrate AI agentic workflows and tools to fundamentally reshape and accelerate the software lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and engineering teams to translate complex needs into developer experiences.
• Manage and scale cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code tools like Pulumi and Helm.
• Champion engineering excellence through continuous operational improvements and modern monitoring patterns.

We are looking for

• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue.
• Deep experience with AI agentic workflows and tools such as Cursor or agentic CLIs.
• Strong proficiency in building production-grade APIs and services with Python or Rust.
• Solid competence working with PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB or Redis.
• Practical experience with AWS, containerization, and a DevOps mindset toward monitoring.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

It is meritorious if you have

• Experience with Rust, Vite, Pulumi, or Helm.
• Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures and state management.
• Proven interest in improving developer productivity (DevX) through tooling.
