About the Role

We aresearchingfor twoSenior Lead IT Developer(PDM),whodesign, build, test, and maintainKONE's Product Data Management (PDM) solution, whichismostly based on commercialVariSuitePLM/PDM platformwith significant custom development.

You take ownership of technical delivery, ensuring solutions are implemented according to agreed designs, best practices, and quality standards. You work closely with architects, technicaldesignleads, product owners, and operations to align development with platform roadmaps, while actively contributing to agile and DevOps ways of working. 

In senior capacity, you also influence design decisions, mentor others, and driveITdevelopment processcontinuous improvementacross the team.

What You Will Do

• Design, implement, unit test, and document features,changesandcustom extensions and integrations for KONE's commercial PDM solutions usingmainlyJavaandTcl

• Takeend-to-endaccountability for the quality of deliverables, applying early quality practices such as unit testing and peer reviews

• Build PDMand PLM relatedsolutions that are production‑ready, scalable, and supportable inAWS‑hosted environments

• Ensure implementations follow agreed designs, KONE best practices, and development guidelines

• Collaborate with architects, technical design leads, operations, and other stakeholders tomaintainalignment with product and platform roadmaps

• Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure successful builds for changes in scope

• Create andmaintaintechnical documentation, test cases, and related artifacts using agreed tools

• Support operations by contributing to user documentation, training materials, andcomplexincident resolution

• Participate actively in agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, quarterly planning, demos, and retrospectives

• Contribute to backlog definition, estimation, dependency identification, and risk management

• Review peers' work and provide constructive feedback

• Continuouslyidentifyimprovement opportunities in development practices, processes, and guidelines

• Take onadditionalresponsibilities when applicable (e.g., Scrum Master role, triaging activities)

Technical Skills Needed

• Experience in developing andmaintainingcomplex IT products or platforms

• Hands-on experience in Java development, TCL is considered a plus

• Strong understanding of modern software development principles and emergent architecture practices

• Experience working in AWS‑hostedhugeproduction environments

• Hands-on experience with Agile and, where applicable, DevOps methodologies

• Solid knowledge of quality practices including unit testing, code reviews, and verification

• Understanding of PLM/PDM business processes, product structures, and product data flows

• Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools and practices

• Familiarity with IT operations and end-user experience considerations

• Ability to work with defined designs, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes 

Preferred Experience

• 10+ yearsof experience in IT product or platform development for senior-levelroles

• Experience developing and supporting heavily customized commercial PLM/PDM solutions

• Hands‑on experience working with AWS‑hosted, globally used production systems, with awareness of availability, performance, and operability requirements

• Experience working in large-scale,diverseandcomplex enterprise IT environments

• Experience contributing to design discussions and mentoring junior developers 

• Exposure to regulated environments and understanding of regulatory impacts on enterprise IT solutions

• Familiarity with enterprise IT landscapes and operating models

Soft Skills

• Strong quality focus with consistentlyhigh standardsfor personal and team output

• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively across diverse teams

• Clear and proactive communication, including sharing progress, risks, and impediments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured and logical approach

• Curiosity and information-seeking mindset, activelyidentifyingand closing knowledge gaps

• Ability to think conceptually and understand solutions in a broader business and technical context 

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's or Master'sdegree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, or similar)

• Certificationsand training AWS aremandatory andtraining in Java technologies, DevOps, Agile, or related areas are considered an advantage

• English languageproficiencyrequired
