Test Engineer - Grid Code

The Impact You'll Make

 

Join Danfoss Drives and contribute to the testing and validation of advanced power conversion solutions. In this role, you will work with products including inverters, AFE units, grid converters, and DC-DC converters, supporting research and development activities in Vaasa.   You will help ensure products meet testing requirements and quality expectations by working closely with development engineers and fellow test engineers. Your work will support the development of reliable drive technologies used in demanding applications.   As part of an Agile working environment, you will have opportunities to develop your technical skills while collaborating with experienced colleagues across product development and testing. What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Execute grid code requirement test cases for power conversion products
  • Prepare drives for testing by assembling equipment, installing software, and configuring drive loading systems
  • Perform measurements using laboratory equipment and support test execution activities
  • Analyze and report test results in collaboration with development engineers and fellow test engineers
  • Contribute as a member of an Agile Scrum team, supporting ongoing product development and testing activities

What We're Looking For

 

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering with an electrical focus
  • Knowledge of electrical safety principles and practices
  • Experience using electrical measurement equipment and laboratory tools, such as oscilloscopes
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and circuit layouts
  • A willingness to learn, adapt, and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Very good communication skills in English and at least a good understanding of Finnish
