We are now looking for a Cloud Data Engineer to join the KPMG Innovation & Technology team!

The Innovation & Technology team ensures that our client facing applications, personnel and support functions have the platforms, tools and solutions needed to drive our business and enable client offerings with a digital touch. We make sure that the current platforms support our everyday business and look ahead for opportunities for developing our technology landscape to best serve the needs of the future. 

 

As a Cloud Data Engineer you

  • Design and implement data pipelines tailored to business information requirements.
  • Collaborate with the data architects to develop and maintain a business-driven data architecture that aligns with organizational goals and requirements.
  • Work with our Integration Team to integrate data from KPMG and external systems.
  • Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Support KPMG Finland's business initiatives by leveraging data from our platform.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in cloud data engineering.
  • Share knowledge and expertise through documentation, training, and mentorship to empower colleagues.

 

You are a strong candidate if you have

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with several years of relevant software development experience.
  • Experience in Data Engineering within cloud environments, utilizing SQL and Python-based solutions.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive attitude towards challenges.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

 

The following technical skills and experience will help you succeed in the role

  • Experience with public cloud platforms in a DevOps or business development context.
  • Practical experience implementing data solutions.
  • Familiarity with Data Vault Architecture.
  • Familiarity with Azure Databricks.

This is a permanent full-time position, and the starting date is negotiable. The position is based in our office in Helsinki, Töölönlahdenkatu 3A. We work on a hybrid model and our team prefers to work at the office 3 times a week, but we appreciate work-life balance and flexibility as well.
