We are looking for a Department Manager to lead, develop, and grow our Technical Communication and Data Solutions business at our Oulu/Kemi office.
In this role, you are responsible for business growth, key customer relationships, and people leadership. You combine a strong commercial mindset with an understanding of how technical documentation and information management create value for customers and support efficient, profitable operations.
Your responsibilities
Business growth and sales
-Own and drive business growth for the department together with Etteplan's sales organization
-Take an active, hands-on role in consultative sales, including identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, and supporting or leading customer negotiations
-Develop existing customer relationships and build new ones, acting as a trusted partner to key accounts
-Contribute to revenue, profitability, and pipeline targets for the department
Leadership and delivery
-Lead and develop a team of specialists and/or project managers in Technical Communication and Data Solutions
-Set clear goals and priorities, support performance, and develop both technical and commercial capabilities in the team
-Ensure customer projects are delivered with high quality, on time, and in line with commercial targets
-Work closely with project management to balance capacity, quality, and profitability
Collaboration and development
-Collaborate across Etteplan units and functions to build competitive, value-driven solutions
-Contribute to the development of service offerings, processes, and ways of working
-Promote long‑term customer success through a consultative, partnership-oriented approach
To be successful in this role you have
-Several years of experience in consultative B2B sales, business management, or customer leadership in an expert or technology-driven environment
-Proven ability to grow customer accounts or business areas and work with revenue and profitability targets
-Experience in leading people or expert teams in a project-based business
-Solid understanding of project delivery, commercial responsibility, and profitable business
-A relevant Bachelor's degree (e.g. technical or business)
-Fluency in Finnish and English, both spoken and written
