On behalf of our marine industry customer in Turku we now look for an ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to strenghten the in-house equipment design team. In this position you take part in the electrification of process handling equipment of ship deliveries. Apart from electrical system design the role may include related drawing and documentation work as well. By duration the initial design project is not lengthy but may be succeeded by new ones. In close team interaction you will grow into a process electrification specialist building on the technical insights derived from every project. Initial assignment duration is 3-4 months and work can be done remotely after a 2 week ramp-up period. The assignment is also suitable for freelance entrepreneurs part of our supplier network.
As the electrical engineer we look for you need to have genuine interest in process and plant industry control. We expect you to be professional and self-driven sharing our passion for technology, engineering and the commitment to move our customers' performance forward. The work does not at this point include any occasional trips to suppliers/customers.
We expect of you:
- to be readily available for 2-week ramp-up at site in Turku, Finland.
- relevant M.Sc./B.Sc.engineering degree in Electrical Engineering.
- at least 5 years relevant work experience and documented commitment to work quality and schedules.
- work experience in some database-based elctrical design software, preferably Eplan, is required.
- skills communicating fluently both by speaking and writing in English. Finnish is a nice bonus.
- and of course, the ability to work both independently and as team member on simultaneous projects under the occasional time pressure.
