Full Stack Developer

• You will join Alma as a Full Stack Developer focused on backend development and cloud infrastructure for the DOKS service that provides AML and KYC compliance solutions.
• You should have several years of software development experience with strong backend skills, knowledge of service architectures and distributed systems, and hands-on experience with cloud, IaC, DevOps and CI/CD while being ready to work across the full stack and use AI tools.
• You will work with TypeScript, Kotlin/Java, React, serverless architectures, AWS and some PHP, with event-driven architectures, API design, secure development and mentoring as desirable additions.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on backend development and cloud infrastructure to join the development team for our DOKS service. Our team is responsible for the service's functionality, maintenance, and the development of new solutions.

DOKS offers advanced solutions for handling anti-money laundering obligations, sanctions list screening, and other compliance tasks. Founded in 2017, DOKS has grown rapidly and become the market leader in the Finnish KYC (Know Your Counterparty) market, but this is only the beginning of our journey.

What do we expect from you?

We are looking for an experienced full stack developer with several years of hands-on experience with our technology stack, a senior in the making, or someone who has recently stepped into a senior role. Your expertise should lean toward the backend and infrastructure, while you're also comfortable working across the full stack when needed. What matters most is a desire to build high-quality, maintainable software and to keep developing your own skills. You'll take part in designing, building, and maintaining new features, and help the team shape our technical solutions, ways of working, and architecture.

You'll fit right in if you have:

• Several years of software development experience and the ability to design, build, and maintain services running in production
• Strong backend skills and a solid understanding of service architectures and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code (IaC), DevOps, and CI/CD
• Experience with databases and data modeling
• Readiness to make changes across the entire application stack, including the frontend
• The ability to use AI tools effectively as part of your everyday development work
• Good communication and collaboration skills, and a desire to help develop the team's ways of working

Nice to have

It's a plus if you have experience with some of the following:

• Event-driven architectures

• Mentoring other developers or improving development processes and team practices
