We are seeking a highly motivated and sales-oriented Fundraising Team Lead to coach, supervise and lead a team of fundraisers in door-to-door and face-to-face fundraising activities within the humanitarian/charity sector. This is a full-time leadership role that offers a chance to make a significant impact while developing your leadership and fundraising skills.
Please note you must already live in Finland in the Uusimaa-area. No relocation services provided.
Location: In different areas all around Uusimaa (Office is located in Helsinki).
Hours: Full-time role, 37,5h work week. Must be able to work on-site 5 days a week (shifts during Mon-Sat, but mainly Mon-Fri). The work is mostly carried out during afternoon and evenings at 12-20 (12-8PM).
Start Date: Preferably during April 2025.
Must have: A driver's license that is valid in Finland, owning a car you can use in work tasks is a plus.
Role Description:
As a Fundraising Team Lead, you will manage and guide a team of fundraisers who engage with the public to acquire new monthly donors for different represented charities. The represented charities operate within different areas, focusing on e.g. children and families, human rights and solidarity as well as animal rights and environmental protection. You will take responsibility for coaching and onboarding new team members, overseeing the team’s performance, ensuring fundraising targets are met, and maintaining a positive, motivated team atmosphere.
You will also work hands-on in the field with the team, conducting door-to-door and face-to-face fundraising, ensuring your team’s approach is efficient and effective. This role is ideal for someone with a strong sales or/and leadership background, looking to make a difference while leading others to success. The work is carried out all around Uusimaa in different residential areas, public spaces as well as shopping centers. You must be willing to work on-site 5 days a week (Mon-Fri and occasional Saturdays) and have the ability to move to different areas during the day. The work is mostly carried out during the afternoon and evening, but this might change during different seasons and we hope you’ll have a flexible schedule and can occasionally work during the mornings as well.
Responsibilities:
• Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support a team of fundraisers, ensuring they have the necessary tools, knowledge, and encouragement to excel.
• Onboarding, Training & Development: Provide onboarding for new team members as well as ongoing coaching and training for the team to help them meet and exceed fundraising targets.
• Recruitment: Participate in the recruitment of new fundraisers by conducting group interviews and occasional one-to-one interviews. Also occasional participation in different recruitment events (in e.g. schools) is included in the role.
• Hands-on fundraising and sales in the field: Actively participate in fundraising activities with your team in the field, especially when you are coaching new team members and showing them how to make a sale and connect with new people you meet.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and report team performance against targets, providing feedback and guidance where necessary.
• Route Planning: Collaborate with the company's management in planning the fundraising routes, ensuring the team works efficiently and effectively.
• Team Motivation: Create a positive, energetic environment, ensuring team members remain motivated and focused on achieving their goals.
• Feedback & Reporting: Provide feedback on fundraising strategies and suggest improvements, ensuring processes remain effective.
What We Are Looking For:
• Experience in face-to-face or door-to-door sales, preferably in fundraising.
• Proven leadership or management experience, ideally in a fundraising or sales environment.
• Extremely strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a diverse team.
• A goal-oriented and active attitude with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Fluency in English, Finnish is a plus (but not required).
• A positive, proactive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
• Base salary plus a commission based on the amount and value of new donations acquired (by your team and yourself).
