Legal Counsel (in-house lawyer)

We are looking to hire two Legal Counsels (in-house lawyer) to join our Office of General Counsel (OGC) in Helsinki. Our OGC, the internal legal department of PwC Finland, provides legal support to our management, business units and support functions. OGC is a legal business partner to our business units, and we frequently cooperate with the global PwC network and our Nordic OGC colleagues in particular.

What kind of work is it about?

Your key responsibilities will include providing a wide range of legal assistance both in Finnish and English in contractual matters in relation to a variety of client engagements as well as PwC's internal support functions. You will also provide legal assistance in implementing new services to our clients and resolving daily business-related legal questions.

In this position you will report to General Counsel Sanna Pekuri.

What do you expect from me?

  • a Master of Laws degree,
  • Fluent skills in both Finnish and English (written and oral),
  • a couple of years of relevant working experience e.g., as an in-house lawyer or at a law firm, and
  • a hands-on and can-do attitude.

Moreover, we welcome positive and enthusiastic attitude, pragmatic approach, a passion towards legal work, eagerness to grow as a lawyer as well as good negotiation, communication and co-operation skills. We do not expect you to know everything - but we expect you to take ownership of matters handled by you, to have great problem-solving skills and to adapt well to changing situations. Previous experience and interest in contract law and data protection matters are considered beneficial.

How does the recruitment process proceed?

✍️ The recruitment process will include two interviews, one with a case study and aptitude tests with a feedback discussion. We will also ask selected candidates to provide contact information for two referees.

Our goal is to finish the recruitment process by June 20th, and we hope that our new colleague would start in the beginning of August 2024, but at the latest, in the beginning of September 2024.
