Product Safety Manager

We are looking for Product Safety Manager for our Metals QEHS team. The location for this role is Espoo, Finland. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Support proposal management regarding product liability aspects
  • Support and verify the necessary steps in the plant product life cycle regarding product liability and functional safety acc. IEC 61511 during project execution; perform the role of the Product Safety Manager (PSM)
  • Support and verify the necessary steps in the life cycle of proprietary equipment regarding product liability, machinery or equipment safety, and CE marking were required, during product development and project execution
  • Create and maintain the environment for HAZOP studies by networking with suitable external partners and providing adequate procedures; liaise with quality assurance manager, site quality, supply quality, engineering sub-contractors
  • Provide regular training to local management and project team members in the application of processes and tools (e.g. Safeexpert)
  • Participate in the global PSM expert group in order to maintain and improve existing PSM processes and documented information
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of procedures, work instructions, and templates

 

To succeed you will need

 

  • University degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering
  • Product Safety Management Expertise (TÜV Certificate CE Marking expert, various projects executed*)
  • Knowledge of HAZARD analysis, Functional Safety, and HAZOP
  • Knowledge of Safexpert or similar software
  • Deep understanding of several technologies
  • Deep knowledge of International Codes and Standards
  • Project execution
  • Good and proactive team working skills in an internationally operating matrix organization
  • Strong cooperation with BLs, Project Managers, and other engineering disciplines
  • Self-directed and willing to travel
  • Typical minimum relevant experience required: 5-8 years, recognized global expert in own field
