Your role
Orion is seeking an experienced SAP Authorization Lead to join our SAP Center of Excellence team. In this permanent role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining SAP authorization and GRC concepts across multiple SAP systems, with a strong focus on risk management, internal controls, and compliance. You will ensure effective segregation of duties, mitigate access-related risks, and support audit and regulatory requirements, working closely with our IAM team and partner network. This position is based in Espoo or Turku, Finland, and follows Orion's hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with SAP authorization concepts, role design, and Segregation of duties (SoD) concept and controls. You will work closely with functional, technical and business teams to design, build, and maintain role concepts, You will perform risk analysis, and make sure that governance and compliance principles are followed.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Leading the SAP authorization process, owning the solution and roadmap
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP authorization concepts and roles
- Conducting Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation controls
- Supporting and managing workflows for approvals, firefighter access, and access requests
- Collaborating with auditors and compliance teams to provide evidence and support for security reviews
- Performing role redesigns as part of new implementations and ongoing developments
- Ensuring consistency of roles across different environments
- Maintaining documentation and access metrics
- Leading the governance network and guiding role owners in their work
- Staying updated with the latest SAP security and authorization trends and best practices

What are we looking for?
- Minimum 7 years of experience with SAP security and authorization concepts
- Deep hands-on experience in SAP authorization, role design, and SoD concepts and controls
- Solid understanding of the SoD framework and compliance requirements
- Strong knowledge of SAP authorization concepts (e.g. composite roles, task levels, Fiori catalogs)
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; project management experience is an asset
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to work across teams, functions, and cultures
- Proactive, positive, and energetic team player
- Ability to lead with confidence, take initiative, and maintain full responsibility for deliverables
