Your role
We are looking for an Sourcing Manager to join our Raw Materials Procurement team at Orion. In this exciting role you will be working with Orion Raw Materials ensuring that we have the most optimum supplier and materials portfolio available to contribute to Orion's strategy and business targets. The position is permanent and you will be based in Espoo or Turku.
As a Sourcing Manager you will be managing the selected supplier base of Orion's raw materials in your category. You drive the RFQ and supplier selection process, and negotiate pricing and costs, business models and sourcing agreements independently in a leading role. You own and lead the sub-category strategy work and risk management activities in your product area. You will be actively managing the product lifecycle activities, as well as the supply and material availability together with key stakeholders and experts within Orion and with the suppliers. You lead projects and process improvements for your category.
You have an eye for details, but you also understand the big picture and the elements of strategy, and you can challenge the status quo and take ownership for driving the change, when needed. You are motivated and capable of leading projects and project teams, and you can proactively and independently plan and lead strategic actions for the future with your suppliers and stakeholders. You collaborate and contribute in different product projects as the sourcing representative, and you actively drive the supplier collaboration and development in your product category to the next level.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with experience from global sourcing or supply chain management. A positive can-do attitude with excellent co-operation and networking skills are essential in this role, and as a person we expect you to be curious, goal and solution driven and a motivated self-starter. You also have a natural talent to take the lead and ownership of tasks and ensure and see them through to completion. You have an open and positive growth mindset, and the ability to develop and lead things and processes in your sourcing area and in close co-operation with the suppliers and internal stakeholders. You are also eager and motivated to learn and develop yourself actively through work, and you get things done independently and also through team work. University degree from a relevant field is considered as an advantage.
The concepts of SRM and category management are familiar to you and you have gained solid experience from supplier and commercial agreement negotiations, as well as from pricing and business model negotiations and cost management. You communicate and negotiate fluently in English and Finnish, other language skills are seen as benefit.
Good project management skills and previous project work experience is a must, and you have a solid understanding on the strategic sourcing and supply chain management and practices. SAP knowledge and category specific knowledge are counted as an asset. In this role some travelling abroad is necessary so we hope that you are willing to travel approx. 20 days per year.

Your new team
Orion's Global Operations covers the entire pharmaceutical manufacturing process, from sourcing of raw materials to the manufacture of products, packaging and delivery to customers. We are also responsible for the industrialization of new products and product life cycle management.
In Global Operations we have approximately 1,600 professionals working in Production, our external supplier network (Externally Sourced Operations) and Fermion Oy (API manufacturing and marketing). In addition, the organization includes Supply Chain & Procurement, Technical Operations, Facility Management, EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), CPD&LCM (Commercial Product Development & Product lifecycle management) and Operations Development.
Direct Procurement is a part of Supply Chain and Procurement Organization in Orion Global Operations. Direct Purchasing is responsible for global purchasing and sourcing for Orion manufacturing including tasks related to sourcing agreements, risk and cost management, category strategy and development, supplier management and performance.
