What you will do
ERP Platform team is at the center of the digital core of UPM. Aim is to build a resilient, secure, and future‑ready ERP Platform services that empowers IT, business, and development teams through a product‑centric, self‑service ecosystem - driven by AI, automation, composability, and intelligent operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for the architecture and roadmap execution of UPM's ERP platform. You will work closely with the Platform Owner, Architects, and external partners. The role combines strategic architectural leadership with some hands-on work focused on proof‑of‑concepts and strong stakeholder collaboration. In addition, you will:
- Lead UPM's ERP Platform Architecture (SAP Basis - AWS based foundation, S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, DevOps, NetWeaver, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, SAP Clean Core, SAP Extensions & cloud solutions)
- Model platform architectures in alignment with UPM Enterprise Architecture principles and target towards cloud‑native, automated, and clean‑core SAP landscapes.
- Collaborate with peer platform architects closely (e.g., ERP Security, Integration, and SAP Cloud setup across BTP, and SaaS solutions etc.)
- Contribute into Platform roadmap planning and lead the execution of it, driving lifecycle modernization, adoption of new SAP technologies, AWS capabilities, and platform automation.
- Own and develop UPM's ERP design & development principles, guidelines, processes and ways of working.
- Onboard, lead and manage our development partners.
- Provide ERP Architecture guidance & support to projects & business IT teams to align with UPM architecture principles and industry best practices.
- Collaborate and communicate both with technical and business stakeholders in various forums.
Who you are
- You have target and result oriented mindset to lead change to achieve goals
- You have experience of medium to large SAP environments, covering SAP Basis- AWS foundation, S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, DevOps, NetWeaver, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, SAP Clean Core, SAP Extensions)
- You have strong understanding of SAP related implementations, upgrades & migrations, system sizing, high availability & DR solutions, especially on AWS cloud infrastructure
- You have experience of enterprise architecture concepts and able to apply in shaping platform services and roadmap development
- You have a thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape including understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution
- You have understanding and passion to further increase the knowledge in different fronts including modern cloud-native technologies, Agile & DevOps ways of working
- You take initiative and lead execution while working collaboratively in product centric ERP platform team that values automation, AI, exploring new technologies and continuous improvements
- You have excellent communication skills, primarily in English
