Service Manager

Are you ready to be part of the future pulp industry? We are now looking for a Service Manager to start the journey with our customer!

Valmet EMEA Finland Sales organization is responsible for bringing the first-class service expertise to our customers in pulp and paper industry. We are now in search of a Service Manager to join the team in northern part of Finland (Kemi/Oulu). In this new and exciting role, you will get to work as the key point of contact between our designated customer and Valmet sales, service, and technology units. Your role is to understand the service needs and requirements that are essential to optimize the functionality of a modern, large-scale pulp mill.       

Your main tasks as a Service Manager will include:

• Involving with the daily process and production status

• Providing help and support with possible trouble areas at the mill

• Understanding the mill production priorities and their impacts on Valmet business opportunities

• Responding rapidly and actively to customer needs

• Organizing and supporting Valmet service experts with local practicalities

• Agreement and project follow-up

• Engineering support

• Installation and commissioning support

• Supporting occasionally in other domestic service projects

Requirements

We expect you to have a suitable technical education (M.Sc. or a B.Sc.) and minimum of five years of professional experience within pulp and/or paper industry. Understanding the various process phases of bioproduct processing will be a big benefit to excel in the position. As you will be our "eyes and ears" at the mill site, we expect you to have an active style to drive initiatives forward, solve problems and work closely with the mill professionals and your Valmet colleagues to ensure that we provide the best possible partnership to our customer.     

We are looking for a person who is open, able, and willing to work with different kinds of people. You need to communicate clearly both with the customer and Valmet counterparts and be a visible Valmet point of contact at the mill site. You also have a self-managed and independent working style with the ability to set priorities to yourself and ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. You know how to create positive energy around you, and you show trust in others. You should be available for occasional travelling in Finland.
