Danfoss Drives, we are looking for a Sourcing project manager with strong sourcing skills and a solid understanding of project management. You will be responsible for driving procurement related tasks with new product development projects, securing optimum quality, cost and logistic conditions. Your work location will be Vaasa (Finland) and you will report to the Procurement director. Your focus will be acting as sourcing lead on Electrification New Product Development projects.

Job Responsibilities

Your mission will be to secure procurement on-time, identify risks as well as opportunities for the projects. We expect you to use your global approach towards category strategy execution to accomplish this. Other areas of responsibilities are:

-    Securing that the procurement part of NPD projects are in compliance with our business and technical requirements

-    Ensuring that the target costs of new developments are met, in corporation with the project team

-    Strong focus on the strategic procurement and ability to execute projects

-    Securing early involvement of suppliers in projects, with the purpose of utilizing the supplier competences and know-how in the design phase

-    Act as a Procurement team lead in Electrification NPD projects

Background & Skills

To succeed in this position you should have M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree from Commercial or Engineering combined with extensive experience from procurement, project management and development projects gives you good background for the position. Personally, you can work cross functional with people on many levels in the organization both at suppliers and internally. We are looking for a proactive self-starter with a positive can-do attitude. 

Furthermore, we expect you to have an excellent command of English, good command of Finnish is an asset. You have several years of hands-on experience of supply chain from international company, and you have good analytical skills combined basic technical and financial understanding. You are skilled user of modern IT tools. MS Office, PDM and SAP experience is required.
