As our Indirect Sourcing Trainee, you'll immediately become a valued part of the Kalmar Indirect sourcing team. In this role, you'll support Indirect Sourcing Category management and collaborate with IND Sourcing colleagues and business stakeholders to gain hands-on experience in sourcing administration tasks. You'll contribute directly to meaningful projects and see the impact of your work.
This is a fixed-term position, located in Helsinki. The trainee period typically runs from 01.05.2026 to 30.8.2026 , with exact timing to be mutually agreed upon with your manager.
What are your key responsibilities:

Support & Assist: Execute day-to-day tasks and activities, Category management organization support eg. data collection, data analysis and RFP's.

Collaborate & Coordinate: proactively communicate and participate in different tasks across sourcing teams.

Analysis & Improvement: Analyze data/reports, and contribute to improvements in specific processes and outcomes.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities and propose solutions to enhance data management in the area.

What you bring to the role:
- Academic Background in Business or Supply Chain: You are currently studying toward a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, and are eager to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, hands-on sourcing environment.
- Early Exposure & Curiosity: Previous experience in procurement or supply chain, familiarity with the Google environment, or experience working with various digital tools is considered an advantage, but not required - your motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn matter most.
- Proactive & Learning-Oriented Mindset: You bring a positive, can-do attitude, take initiative in your work, and enjoy developing your skills in a dynamic and collaborative setting.
- Communication & Collaboration Skills: You communicate confidently in both Finnish and English, collaborate effectively within teams, and are comfortable working independently when needed.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: You enjoy working with data, analyzing reports, and contributing to process improvements through structured and solution-oriented thinking.
