EHS Senior Specialist

  • This mostly on-site role at Eaton's Vantaa campus is responsible for implementing and continuously improving the site's EHS integrated management system.
  • The EHS Senior Specialist ensures compliance with Finnish legislation and Eaton's MESH requirements while acting as a subject matter expert and executing the site EHS strategy.

  • Required qualifications include a relevant BSc/MSc and industrial manufacturing experience, plus fluent Finnish and English, MS Office and EHS systems proficiency, and knowledge of ISO 14001/ISO 45001.

What you’ll do:

In this mostly on-site role the person is responsible for overlooking, implementing and continuously improving EHS of integrated management system. As part of the site's EHS team, your role is to ensure compliance with Finnish legislation as well as Eaton's EHS management system (MESH) requirements and practices while fostering a proactive safety culture. In this role you will work as subject matter expert.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the site's EHS strategy
  • Support achievement of site and business EHS KPIs and objectives
  • Participate the annual EHS Roadmap and support the effective and timely implementation
  • Drive a strong safety culture through engagement, couching and CI initiatives
  • Over all picture and responsibility of  MESH requirements and dedicated programs
  • Identify and evaluate operational EHS risks, lead mitigation strategies, coordinate incident investigations, and implement measures to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses
  • Build and maintaintrusted relationsships with diferent stakeholders (operational leaders, operators) communicating EHS performance, managing expectations and providing data to to drive effective decision making
  • EHS data monitoring and analysis

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in relevant field or similar
  • Experience from a similar role in an industrial manufacturing sector

Skills:

  • Fluent Finnish and English language skills
  • Profiency in MS Office and EHS reporting systems.
  • Knowledge of local EHS legislation and safety standards.
  • Management system knowledge (ISO 14001/ISO 45001)
  • Able to lead risk assessments and audits.
  • Ability to lead programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
