Service Transition Manager
We are looking for a Service Transition Manager for our client in the banking sector.
Detailed description of work task to be carried out:
The BCCM RRP Service Transition Management function oversees the sustainable handover of programme deliveries into BAU. The BCCM STM function aims to ensure that the impacted Business Areas and Group Functions are well prepared to receive and implement the changes and enhancements being delivered.
As a Transition lead, you will be required to support the running of the Service Transition Management function by monitoring and anchoring the deliveries that have been transitioned to the line organisation. The main responsibility of the post-transition lead is to follow up with the relevant projects through a project retrospective session. Further, the post-transition lead will follow up on the implementation plan and the agreed target transfer. Finally, once the monitoring period is successfully completed, the post-transition lead will drive the submission of the perpetual run cost transfer request.
As the project support, you will drive and review the biweekly progress reporting. You will also drive the creation of new STM milestones. Finally, you will oversee that the STM approach is maintained and that the STM Handbook with all templates are always up to date.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Drive transition activities.
- Execute retrospectives and drive follow-up actions.
- Establish post-transition monitoring controls and governance.
- Monitor post-transition activity i.e. are the line organisations doing what they are supposed to do with the FTE and run cost the programme has provided.
- Recommend transitioned project for perpetual run cost transfer STM planning (milestones) and progress reporting - Maintain and update STM approach, playbook and templates.
Must-have knowledge and experience:
- Experience with complex stakeholder landscapes as well as an understanding of banking and/or IT operations and processes.
- Knowledge of change management and organisational design, and possess the skillset to support the project manager in running the STM function.
- The role will be vital in providing skilled capacity to successfully anchor transitioned deliverables in the line organisation, ensuring sustained risk reduction.
