Technical Product Owner & HTML Developer

We are currently seeking a skilled Technical Product Owner with a strong background in HTML player development to join our team. As the Technical Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and advancement of our HTML player, ensuring its alignment with both business objectives and technical requirements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee the successful delivery of our player to market.
Responsibilities:
- Define the vision and roadmap for the HTML player, ensuring alignment with business goals and market demands. You will work closely with the customer interface to get insights for the technical team.
- Contribute actively to the development of the player, leveraging your technical expertise and insights.
- Gather and prioritize requirements from stakeholders, translating them into clear user stories and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with product management to define feature priorities and maintain alignment with the overall product strategy.
Activities:
- Enhance the video streaming engine based on dash.js technology to mitigate the challenges posed by the fragmented SmartTV environment.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritize user stories, and ensure the timely delivery of features.
- Continuously refine and groom the backlog, incorporating feedback and adjusting priorities as necessary.
- Actively participate in the development of the player, working alongside the development team to drive progress.
Competencies:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, as well as related frameworks/libraries such as webpack, TypeScript, and jest.
- In-depth knowledge of video streaming technologies and protocols (e.g., HLS, MPEG-DASH), particularly MediaSourceElement & EncryptedMediaElement.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience in SmartTV projects is considered a plus. Willingness to learn every day is mandatory.
