Valmet's Environmental Solutions supplies complete flue gas cleaning solutions to meet the needs of various power and process industry sectors. Additional we offer providing services to after sales market and take care of Valmet delivered installations for pulp, energy, panel board and marine customers. We also provide studies, process modifications, retrofits, upgrades and heat recovery optimizations to different air emission control technologies including flue gas scrubbers, heat recovery systems, dry and wet electrostatic precipitators, bag house filters and selective catalytic reduction. We have extensive portfolio air emissions control solutions from wet and dry flue gas cleaning and heat recovery to flue gas desulfurization and NOx reduction.
We are now looking for a Product Engineer to work in delivery projects, sales and product development primarily at our Tampere office. In this position you act as a technical expert for flue gas cleaning technologies, supporting our lifecycle solutions.
The key tasks and responsibilities for this role include:

Responsible and work with Sales projects, Customer order projects as well as R&D projects in service deliveries

Process and product studies, calculations and dimensioning in sales and delivery projects

Commissioning support, test-runs, training and site visits in customer delivery projects

Support to customers with troubleshooting and improvements

Process follow-up, analyzes and inputs in customer service agreements

Customer contacts and support in customer agreements and projects

Close co-operation with other Valmet disciplines, sub-suppliers and customers
In sales projects your role is to participate in defining technical concepts, equipment dimensioning and in preparing technical specifications. Also, you will prepare and be responsible of cost calculations in co-operation with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
In delivery projects you will continue the engineering in close co-operation with other Valmet disciplines, sub-suppliers and customers. Towards the completion of the project, your main task is to give theoretical training for the customer and support commissioning.
Expectations
You have a suitable technical degree (M.Sc.), for example: Energy and environmental, chemical, or process engineering. You have solid knowledge and technical experience from relevant industry (e.g., energy production, pulp mills, air emission control).
You are result-oriented and customer-focused team player who is willing and able to work with different stakeholders. You have good communication skills and you are used to collaborating with different kind of people. This position requires proactive approach in planning and prioritizing in changing circumstances, therefore you have an ability to effectively prioritize your own work and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. We also expect that you will have willingness and opportunity to travel about 30-50 days a year globally according to the requirements of the projects.
You have a fluent English skill, both spoken and written. German and Finnish language skills are a plus. We value good communication skills and solution-oriented mindset.

Additional information
The majority of the team is located in Tampere, but this position can be located in any major Valmet location in Finland if the person is willing to travel to Tampere regularly.
