We are seeking Team Manager to work in chemical quality laboratory (Tablet Team) at Orion Pharma's Espoo site.
Job Description
Your responsibilities include supervising a team of laboratory technicians, guiding and reviewing analytical work, and handling deviation in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). Depending on your interests and expertise, you may also take on other chemical quality control tasks.
The work is 2-shift work from Monday to Friday (evening shift every seventh week). The position is permanent.

Our expectations
- A Master's degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent education
- proficiency in Finnish and English. Our working language is Finnish.
- an open attitude and desire to learn
- ability to follow the guidelines and instructions
- basic IT skills (e.g. MS office)
Experience in supervisory roles, liquid chromatography, working in a GMP environment and quality control is considered an advantage.
We expect you to work in a systematic and goal-oriented manner. You are proactive, efficient, and take responsibility in your area. You plan, execute, and investigate actively and collaborate closely with laboratory staff. You have strong teamwork skills even in urgent and high-pressure situations. We continuously develop our operations according to Lean principles, so you are eager to improve work practices and adapt to changing conditions. Additionally, we expect you to have a strong safety mindset.

Unit description
Quality management (QM) is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products and operations, as well as maintaining and developing the quality system and monitoring the regulatory environment. Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety unit is responsible for the global pharmacovigilance system of Orion Corporation and for the continuous safety surveillance, regulatory reporting and safety risk management activities of human and veterinary medicinal and non-medicinal products.
The QM function consists of about 350 experts who work in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality System, Method Development and the Pharmacovigilance & Drug safety unit. We are located in Espoo, Turku, Salo and Kuopio plants, in addition to the Quality Assurance team in India reporting dotted-line to QM.
The Chemical Quality Control (CQC) is responsible for the quality control of products, raw materials, and packaging materials, stability studies of commercial products and production's cleaning validation analytics. There are around 160 professionals working in CQC, as a significant part of the supply chain. Our Tablet Team employs approximately 60 people.
