Your role
We are seeking QC Assistants / Associates to work in chemical quality control laboratory (Tablet Team) at Orion Pharma’s Espoo site. Your tasks include the analysis of tablet products using dissolution or liquid chromatographic methods. GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines and rules lead the ways of working and documentation. In addition responsibilities of the equipment used in the analysis can be part of the job.
The work is 2-shift work from Monday to Friday. The position is permanent.

What are we looking for?
- A suitable degree or qualification in a relevant field, such as laboratory technology, and previous work experience supporting hands-on laboratory work
- An open attitude and desire to learn
- Ability to follow the guidelines and instructions
- Capability to adapt changes
- Basic IT skills (e.g. MS office)
- Proficiency in Finnish and English. Our working language is Finnish
The analysis work is done independently, but as a team member you are required to have good communication skills. We consider experience in the pharmaceutical industry, working in a GMP environment, and practical knowledge of dissolution and/or HPLC analytics to be an advantage.

Your new team
Quality management (QM) is responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products and operations, as well as maintaining and developing the quality system and monitoring the regulatory environment. Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety unit is responsible for the global pharmacovigilance system of Orion Corporation and for the continuous safety surveillance, regulatory reporting and safety risk management activities of human and veterinary medicinal and non-medicinal products.
The QM function consists of about 350 experts who work in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality System, Method Development and the Pharmacovigilance & Drug safety unit. We are located in Espoo, Turku, Salo and Kuopio plants, in addition to the Quality Assurance team in India reporting dotted-line to QM.
Orion Pharma’s Chemical Quality Control (CQC) is responsible for the quality control of products, raw materials, and packaging materials, stability studies of commercial products and production’s cleaning validation analytics. There are around 150 professionals working in CQC, as a significant part of the supply chain. Our Tablet Team employs approximately 50 people.
