Responsibilities
We’re seeking for 1–2 experienced experienced and ambitious finance professionals to join our Business Finance team supporting Buildings market as part of the Global Project Controlling organization.

Your new role
As a Project Controller, you’ll be a key financial partner to our project delivery teams—ensuring strong financial governance, accurate project finances, and actionable insights that enhance project outcomes. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and collaborate with Senior Leaders, acting as a trusted advisor who brings clarity, control, and commercial acumen to every stage of the project lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Proactively manage the financial performance of your project portfolio, driving value through revenue recognition, risk management, working capital optimisation, and project monitoring.

Champion financial governance by ensuring compliance with project accounting standards, internal controls, Ramboll’s policies and procedures and audit requirements.

Responsible for Project set-up and ongoing maintenance

Contribute to the continuous improvement of Ramboll’s financial processes and systems.

Provide financial advice to stakeholders, identifying risks and opportunities early and offering practical, data-driven solutions. This may include participation in tender reviews.

Apply an innovative mindset to streamline and enhance financial operations.

Support change initiatives with agility, helping teams adapt to evolving business priorities.

Build strong, collaborative relationships with Project Managers, Business Controllers and senior leadership.
- Partner with our India-based support team to ensure timely and accurate project maintenance and billing.
Your new team
You will be part of the Business Finance team working across Finland. We collaborate across offices and time zones in a hybrid environment to work together to deliver excellence in financial project management.

These include:

3+ years related experience in Project finances

University or Polytechnic degree in Finance or Economics (M.Sc. or B.Sc.)Experience with ERP systems to run, monitor and invoice projects, demonstrating advanced skills in applying best practices of project finances

Proficient using Office 365, including strong excel skills and good understanding of how to use Power BI or similar

Excellent communication (written and verbal) in Finnish and in English, interpersonal and organisation skills

Critical thinking, strong data-driven analytical skills and a high attention to detail

Able to work with a minimum of supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with stakeholders

Track record of getting involved in (and perhaps driving) initiatives that drive improvement in your domain
- Ability to successfully lead meetings in virtual settings where most stakeholders and team members are in different locations
