We are Helsinki Shipyard - celebrating 160 years of shipbuilding excellence. Since 1865, we have been designing, building, and commissioning tailor-made, high-class passenger vessels and icebreakers for extreme conditions. We proudly continue the legacy of Helsinki's own Shipyard, right in the heart of Helsinki.
With us, you get to design and build the ships under one roof from start to finish, in close collaboration with our customers. Our specialty lies in vessels that operate on the polar seas, but we can build everything from smaller yachts to complex multi-purpose icebreakers. To provide you with some perspective, we've built 50% of the world's icebreakers - without us it would be hard to navigate in the icy seas!
We are continuing construction of a new heavy icebreaker for the Canadian government. The vessel will be constructed in Helsinki before being completed at Davie's shipyard in Quebec by 2030. Additionally, the first vessel in the Arctic Security Cutter series proceeded to production phase in June 2026, with plans to deliver the first ASC from Helsinki in 2028.

We are now looking for Aveva E3D Administrator.
As an Aveva E3D Administrator, you'll ensure that our AVEVA E3D environment efficiently supports the shipyard's detailed design activities while working as part of a team of 3-5 administrators. Further from maintaining and developing Aveva E3D, this team administrates needed Aveva ERM catalogues and specifications, as well as user management and ensuring reliable function together with shipyard ITC personnel.
As an Aveva E3D Administrator, you'll play a key role in enabling the successful delivery of our demanding engineering projects. You'll be part of the shipyard's in-house design department.
To succeed in this role:
-
You are familiar with AVEVA E3D, eager to learn, and interested in system administration.
-
In an ideal situation, you have experience in administrating and creating specifications in AVEVA E3D, but all user experience, also from Aveva ERM, is seen as a benefit for this role. Your experience in piping specifications, materials, standards, and codes is appreciated.
-
You are detail-oriented and enjoy improving CAD tools and developing new ways of working together with your colleagues.
-
We value work experience in shipbuilding. With the right attitude, you can also succeed even if you are new to ship design.
-
A systematic way of working and the ability to handle large sets of data are desirable.
-
Good written and spoken English
"The ship project takes from 2-3 years, and you can literally see the completion of the ship from plans to the finished ship ready for her maiden voyage outside one's own window. It's always a moving moment when a ship leaves for her home port."
- Mohamed Elameen, Ship Theory Engineer
Why you'll thrive here:
- We offer a unique position in the global shipbuilding industry, overlooking a dynamic project portfolio of high-quality passenger vessels and special-purpose vessels. You will work with a skilled team of designers from various backgrounds and as part of a multidisciplinary design and project organization.
-
Sustainability is central to us - we participate in joint Helsinki sea monitoring, where the quality and harmful substances in the water are monitored.
-
Flexible working options - based in Helsinki, Pori or Turku, with hybrid work possibilities. Our team members work both remotely and on-site at the office, depending on the tasks and project phase.
-
An environment where you can thrive, learn, and grow your expertise.
Ready to make an impact?
If you have a passion for innovation and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from you. Your contributions will directly impact the performance, efficiency, and comfort of vessels operating in diverse marine environments.
