Adven is a long-term infrastructure partner supporting industries in reducing their environmental footprint and improving operational efficiency. We work closely with our customers to optimize industrial processes, provide reliable energy and cooling solutions where needed, and develop integrated water solutions that reduce overall water demand through reuse and recovery.

Together with our 600 employees, our customers and suppliers, we deliver tailored infrastructure and service solutions that strengthen resource efficiency and long-term sustainability. With over 50 years of experience, Adven operates around 350 industrial and infrastructure sites across the Nordic and Baltic countries.

We are now looking for a Concept Manager to join our Water Solutions team.

As Concept Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop viable water treatment solutions, transforming early-stage concepts into project-ready designs that are:

  • Sustainable

  • Aligned with customer needs

  • Executable within defined schedules, scopes, and operational performance

In this role, you will identify solution opportunities for customers and shape the initial vision of each project. You will collaborate with industrial clients to create sustainable, value-driven technical solutions. This involves defining mass and energy balances, creating process flow diagrams, and preparing CAPEX and OPEX calculations. You will also initiate procurement of key technologies and pre-engineering work while coordinating with our project management and O&M teams during the pre-engineering phase. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating technical appendices for our service contracts.

Location: This position is based in either Vantaa, Finland or Stockholm, Sweden, depending on the candidate’s preference and availability. We work flexibly in a hybrid model, combining office and remote work, with approximately three days per week in the office and two days working remotely.

To succeed in this role, we expect you to have:

  • An MSc in Chemical or Process Engineering

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with hands-on expertise in water or wastewater treatment, from planning to project execution and on-site troubleshooting

  • Focus areas preferably within raw water treatment, make-up water treatment, flue gas condensate treatment, or water reuse

  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies such as membrane treatment, electrodialysis, ion exchange, flocculation/coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, evaporation, and crystallization

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach

  • A proactive, results-oriented mindset with strong teamwork capabilities

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and writing skills in both Finnish/Swedish and English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and experience with DWG software (AutoCAD/DraftSight)

  • A valid driver’s license (B)

  • Willingness to travel within Finland, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, and other locations where Adven operates
