Corporate Responsibility Specialist
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Corporate Responsibility Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be our subject matter expert driving our sustainability policies, reporting and process development. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring our policies and disclosures are consistently high‑quality, transparent, and insightful.
About the Position & Team
As a Corporate Responsibility Specialist, you will play a key role in our sustainability efforts, especially in sustainability reporting process end-to-end. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across corporate responsibility, communications, finance, compliance, and relevant business units. Our team is passionate, open-minded, and committed to making a real impact.
You will combine both strategic and hands-on work, helping us continually raise the bar for sustainability policies, processes and reporting.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the in-house substance matter expert for sustainability regulations, interpreting and applying new requirements and best practices to our organization, proactively sharing your expertise within the organization.
- Serve as the in-house expert for the entire reporting cycle, including internal data collection, validation, and documentation.
- Lead and conduct materiality assessments as part of the CSRD/ESRS reporting process.
- Produce and edit content for our annual sustainability report and other sustainability communications.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and ensure compliance.
- Support and participate in internal and supplier audits related to sustainability and social responsibility.
- Support the process for our annual EcoVadis, and other possible sustainability assessments, and ensure continuous improvement of our sustainability ratings.
You will thrive in this position, if you have:
- Solid experience with CSRD/ESRS reporting, conducting double materiality assessments and sustainability and/or human rights due diligence process.
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail-experience in managing complex processes are key.
- Familiarity with sustainability and/or social responsibility auditing frameworks and processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Finnish and English (other language skills are a plus).
- Relevant educational background (e.g., sustainability, environmental management, social sciences).
- Ability to work independently, drive initiatives forward, and influence stakeholders at different levels.
Considered an advantage:
- Hands-on experience with EcoVadis assessments or similar sustainability ratings is considered a strong asset.
- Experience working with stakeholder engagement and non-financial data management tools/ESG reporting platforms.
- Certification or practical experience in sustainability/social responsibility auditing.

The position is located at Veikkaus' headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model. To foster collaboration and effective teamwork, we meet at the office three times a week.
