We are looking for an experienced Indirect Procurement Director to join our Procurement team in Global Supply.
This position is based in Finland, preferably in Tikkurila, Vantaa, but other locations such as Helsinki (Finland) or Gothenburg and Stockholm (Sweden) can also be considered.
You will be leading Valmet wide indirect procurement operations, development, strategy and supply base. Contributes to Procurement transformation by optimizing footprint and strengthening cost-competitiveness and efficiency of Valmet's indirect procurement operation ensuring stakeholder and internal customer needs are met. You will also be a member of the Procurement Leadership team.
This role includes a wide range of different responsibilities, you will

Lead centralization of indirect procurement function through close collaboration with Business Areas (BA) and other corporate functions.

Lead and manage indirect procurement organization with agreed targets to achieve cost reductions whilst improving quality, flexibility, resilience and service.

Develop and execute global Category and Sourcing strategies for Indirect material and services (including risk management) to ensure best Total cost of ownership (TCO).

Ensure sustainability, compliance and performance of indirect procurement operations, including necessary reporting, performance metrics and analysis. Define and continuously improve procurement processes and policies and make data driven decisions.

Maintain and develop key supplier relationships.

Develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Serve as a member of Global Procurement leadership team

Strong analytical skills and strategic acumen, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to drive cost-efficient procurement activities.

Strong interpersonal skills including extensive knowledge in managing large teams with geographically and culturally diverse setup.

Experience & education:

Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain mgmt. or related field, with extensive experience as the main leader of a global procurement organization

10+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement with extensive experience of leadership roles, preferably in the context of global industrial manufacturing.

Expertise in procurement excellence and development, with a proven track record in driving supplier negotiations, cost efficient procurement and strategic initiatives
