Field Medical Advisor

Curium is entering a pivotal phase: moving from a diagnostic focused organization towards the launch of their first commercial therapeutic radiopharmaceutical. To support this transition, we are building our medical capabilities and are now looking for a Field Medical Advisor for the Nordics.

This is not a traditional, established big pharma medical role. You will be among the first dedicated medical professionals in the field, operating with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will work at the intersection of medical and commercial organizations, ensuring scientific integrity while actively supporting launch readiness, stakeholder engagement and evidence generation in a rapidly evolving radiopharmaceutical landscape.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, field-oriented medical professional who thrives in a greenfield set-up and wants to be close to real clinical practice, decision making, and impact. The role is based in Helsinki but requires travelling in Finland and the Nordics (focus being on Sweden at the first stage). You will report directly to the General Manager, Nordics.

Your key responsibilities

  • Identify, build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other healthcare professionals across the Nordic region, with initial focus on Finland and Sweden

  • Act as Curium’s medical interface in the field, engaging physicians, nuclear medicine and isotope departments, nurses and hospital stakeholders

  • Provide high-quality, nonpromotional scientific exchange and medical support related to Curium’s diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals

  • Collect, structure and communicate medical insights from the field to support medical and business decision-making

  • Collaborate closely with commercial, market access and other internal functions while maintaining medical independence and regulatory compliance

  • Support medical launch readiness for Curium’s first commercial therapeutic radiopharmaceutical in the Nordics

  • Plan, prioritize and execute medical activities independently, often with limited existing materials or structures

  • Contribute to developing Curium’s medical ways of working and, over time, support the onboarding and mentoring of future Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)

What we are looking for

  • An advanced scientific degree (MD, MSc in Pharmacy, PhD or equivalent)
  • Experience as an MSL, Medical Advisor or in a comparable field based medical role; oncology experience is an advantage but not mandatory
  • Strong interest in radiopharmaceuticals and motivation to work at the forefront of a developing therapeutic area
  • Ability to learn quickly and operate confidently in a field where established models and structures are still being built
  • A pragmatic, hands-on mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
  • Solid understanding of the medical–commercial interface, with the ability to translate medical insights into business relevant context
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage credibly and clearly with diverse stakeholders
  • Willingness and ability to work across the Nordic region; fluency in English and Finnish is required, Swedish is a strong advantage
  • Readiness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Why join us

This role offers a great opportunity to help build medical affairs capabilities almost from the ground up within a growing radiopharmaceutical company. It provides broad exposure to both diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, including active involvement in the launch of Curium’s first commercial therapeutic product. The working environment is flexible and trust-based, well suited for experienced professionals who value autonomy, ownership, and tangible impact. In addition, the role enables close collaboration with a strong R&D heritage rooted in Finland, while operating across the Nordic region and the wider European landscape.
