At Kalmar, we are looking for an experienced Global Process Owner to drive the global development and standardization of our Record-to-Report (RtR) process.
In this role, you will own the RtR process roadmap and work closely with Finance, Shared Services, and Information Management teams to improve efficiency, strengthen governance, and support automation and transformation initiatives across the organization.
Reporting to the VP of Group Financial Control, you will play a key role in shaping how finance processes are executed globally and help build a more harmonized, scalable, and data-driven finance function.
The role can be based at Kalmar HQ in Helsinki or at another Kalmar European location. We operate with a flexible hybrid working model, combining remote work with in-office collaboration.
What are your key responsibilities:
As Global Process Owner for RtR, you will lead the continuous development of global finance processes and drive initiatives that improve standardization, transparency, efficiency, and compliance across the organization.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Own and drive the global RtR process roadmap, ensuring alignment with business priorities and finance transformation objectives.
- Standardize RtR processes across regions by reducing unnecessary local variations and improving efficiency, compliance, and reporting quality.
- Lead process improvement and transformation initiatives in partnership with Finance, Shared Services, and Information Management teams.
- Support the development and implementation of automation and digital solutions that simplify close, reconciliation, and reporting activities.
- Define, monitor, and improve Process Performance Indicators (PPIs) to increase transparency and operational performance.
- Ensure global RtR processes are clearly documented, including process flows, controls, ownership, and interdependencies with other finance process areas.
- Drive governance and stakeholder alignment across functions and regions, ensuring consistent execution and adoption of process standards.
- Act as a key partner in enterprise-wide finance transformation and systems initiatives.

What you bring to the role:
To be successful as our Global Process Owner, you should be a high-caliber finance professional who blends technical mastery with the ability to lead complex, human-centered change.
- Experience & Background:
- Academic Excellence: A Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
- Proven Track Record: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a listed company.
- Industry Insight: Previous experience in a GPO role within an organization of similar scale and complexity is highly preferred.
- Execution Focus: A strong understanding of finance process setups and a history of driving efficient organizational execution.
- Professional Expertise & Competencies
- Deep Financial Foundations: Robust knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, ideally gained within a global, listed company environment.
- Process Architecture Mastery: Proven skills in process methodologies and management (e.g., SIPOC, BPMN, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar frameworks).
- Technical Acumen: A "systems thinking" mindset with the ability to leverage technology and IM tools to drive architectural excellence.
- Project & Change Leadership: Strong project management skills paired with a deep understanding of Change Management to navigate organizational shifts smoothly.
- Leadership & Soft Skills
