As our Global Process Owner (GPO) for Record-to-Report, you aren't just managing a process - you are the architect of its evolution. You will serve as the strategic guardian of Kalmar's RtR landscape, bridging the gap between high-level strategy and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the VP of Group Financial Control, you will lead the charge in transforming our financial operations into a next-generation, tech-forward function.
The position can be based at Kalmar HQ in Helsinki or alternatively at another Kalmar European site. We operate a hybrid work model, providing the flexibility to combine remote work with in-office engagement.
What are your key responsibilities:
In this pivotal role, you will lead the global development of the RtR process area, focusing on long-term outcomes and continuous improvement. Your core duties include:
- Lead Global Process Initiatives: Drive the execution of process development, ensuring effective, high-quality, and compliant results by optimizing people, financial, and technical resources.
- Drive Strategic Harmonization: Identify and challenge process deviations to ensure a unified, compliant, and cost-effective way of working that aligns with Kalmar's global business needs.
- Strategic RtR process Planning & Documentation: Facilitate the scoping of key initiatives and maintain the "transformation roadmap", ensure all processes are documented with clear inputs, outputs, and interdependencies with other process areas.
- Advance Automation & IM Tools: Partner with Information Management (IM) to integrate modern tools and functionalities that drive automation and digital transformation across the RtR landscape.
- Facilitate Performance Governance: Develop and monitor Process Performance Indicators (PPIs) to ensure transparency, track performance, and support functional teams during execution.
- Facilitate Global Governance: Serve as the bridge between Process Governance Forums and the RtR function, managing information flow and collaboration on critical process changes.
- Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Influence stakeholders at various levels to drive collaboration and execution of process roadmap. Act as a key intermediary for enterprise-wide improvements, ensuring that technology needs and business requirements are aligned across all Kalmar departments.

What you bring to the role:
To be successful as our Global Process Owner, you should be a high-caliber finance professional who blends technical mastery with the ability to lead complex, human-centered change.
- Experience & Background:
- Academic Excellence: A Master's degree in Finance or a related field.
- Proven Track Record: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a listed company.
- ndustry Insight: Previous experience in a GPO role within an organization of similar scale and complexity is highly preferred.
- Execution Focus: A strong understanding of finance process setups and a history of driving efficient organizational execution.
- Professional Expertise & Competencies
- Deep Financial Foundations: Robust knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, ideally gained within a global, listed company environment.
- Process Architecture Mastery: Proven skills in process methodologies and management (e.g., SIPOC, BPMN, Six Sigma, Lean, or similar frameworks).
- Technical Acumen: A "systems thinking" mindset with the ability to leverage technology and IM tools to drive architectural excellence.
- Project & Change Leadership: Strong project management skills paired with a deep understanding of Change Management to navigate organizational shifts smoothly.
- Leadership & Soft Skills
- Stakeholder Influence: A natural ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders across global, cross-functional teams.
- Facilitation & Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex process needs into actionable strategic insights.
