The Hub Digital Technical Engineer will be part of a team intended to provide senior expertise in our Digital Transformer Monitoring portfolio to the Hub in the fields of engineering, systems configuration, and technical requirements analysis. This role involves troubleshooting, supporting internal and external customers within the Hub, and acting as the vital technical link between customers and R&D
This is a highly collaborative and international role where you will combine technical expertise, customer focus, and knowledge-sharing to support digital transformation initiatives across multiple countries and production units.
How you’ll make an impact
- Execute and deploy the global Digital Transformer Monitoring portfolio across the EUC HUB, ensuring consistent implementation and operational adoption.
- Support the integration of digital transformer monitoring solutions while adapting deployments to local standards and requirements.
- Provide Level 2 technical support for digital products, troubleshooting issues and recommending optimal technical solutions.
- Deliver technical training to engineering, manufacturing, and service teams, enabling greater self-sufficiency across HUB units.
- Share market insights, regional requirements, industry standards, and technology trends with product management and R&D teams.
- Support customer projects, pilot implementations, technical proposals, and detailed workshops focused on digital transformer strategies.
- Identify, track, and drive improvement opportunities based on field experience and customer feedback, supporting cost reduction and process optimization.
- Collaborate with Digital Technical Champions and Digital Technical Centers across different HUBs to exchange knowledge and continuously improve implementation practices.
- Contribute to the development and adoption of best practices for transformer monitoring technologies throughout the organization.
Your background
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven practical experience, with at least 2 years of experience in transformer engineering, control design, commissioning, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of transformer monitoring solutions, including DGA, bushing monitoring, partial discharge monitoring, TMS, alarm annunciators, oil dryers, and eDevices.
- Good understanding of transformer technologies (types, characteristics, main components, behavior, diagnostic methods, common issues), diagnostics, and industry standards such as IEC 60076-7; knowledge of IEEE C57.91 is an advantage.
- Ability to interpret and verify electrical control schematics, with basic knowledge of PLCs and software programming.
- Experience with commissioning and deployment of monitoring systems is considered an asset.
- Fluent in technical English, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in international and multicultural environments.
- Proactive and collaborative team player with the ability to train, support, and coordinate colleagues across multiple locations.
- International experience and familiarity with AI tools for scripting, research, or data analysis are advantageous.
