IT Procurement Manager

Are you our new IT Procurement Manager to strengthen and develop IT Sourcing & Procurement at Valmet?

IT Sourcing & Procurement is responsible for developing and managing an optimized IT supply base that supports Valmet and it's end users reaching their targets. Key activities are IT Sourcing, Procurement and Vendor management and we spend our time with present and future vendors, working in close co-operation with IT, business stakeholders and the users. We are organized in two responsibility areas which we call Procurement and Sourcing. Procurement is responsible for devices, accessories, peripherals and end user licenses. Sourcing is responsible for all other needs like capacity, connectivity, platforms, solutions, licenses, services and projects.

In IT Procurement Manager role your key responsibilities are

• Coordinate Valmet IT Procurement function and team activities
• Identify and evaluate procurement needs and adequate ways to fullfill those
• Analyze and optimize spend
• Ensure global control and development of procurement processes and tools
• Manage related vendors and contracts
• Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

To be successful in this position you should have

• Proven 5+ years experience managing global IT procurement or closely related operations
• Experience on supply chain software and tools, proficient in MS Office
• Entrepreneurial attitude with self-motivated, active and forward looking way of working
• Analytical mindset and ability to see what's relevant, enabling you both to manage the entities and dive deep to details as necessary
• Good knowledge of reviewing contracts and negotiating terms
• Good influencing, communication and presentation skills
• Fluent Finnish and English skills, both spoken and written

Nominated person will be located in any major Valmet location in Finland and she/he will report to Director, IT Sourcing.
