We are now looking for a Manager, Business Control (m/f/d) to join the UPM Next Generation Renewables Operations Business Control team. The position can be located in Tampere or Helsinki, Finland or Leuna, Germany.

What you will do
- Drive operational profitability by building best-in-class cost visibility and performance analytics, with a strong focus on fixed-cost planning, monitoring, optimization and the identification of improvement opportunities
- Lead and actively contribute to the development of business control processes, reporting solutions and digital tools to improve data quality, efficiency and decision-making speed
- Act as a key partner to refinery management in investment and development decisions
- Forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning for refinery operations, translating operational assumptions into actionable financial targets and insights
- Strengthen internal controls in a complex industrial environment
Who you are
- You have 5+ years in business controlling, preferably in industrial or manufacturing environment
- You are proactive and highly motivated with excellent problem-solving skills, and you thrive when you can develop processes and tools
- You take ownership in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- You have experience in supporting operational decision-making
- You have strong experience in product costing, fixed-cost management and financial modelling
- You have hands-on experience with ERP (S/4HANA) and performance tools (PowerPoint, Excel, data processing and visualization tools)
- You are fluent in written and spoken English; Finnish and German are considered an asset
