Touhula Tikasmäki - what kind of daycare centre?

Touhula Tikasmäki is an international daycare center located in Henttaa, Espoo. The daycare has six groups, two of which operate in English. The preschool group works together with the 5yearolds. The daycare is located near the central park, the international school of Espoo in a peaceful residential area.

Your role as an pre-school education teacher:

You are the pedagogical leader of your team and an inspiring enabler. You will plan and implement pre-primary education and early childhood education for five-year-olds together with your team. In the afternoons, you will plan and carry out early childhood education for the whole team. Collaboration with the City of Espoos pre-primary education services is also part of the teachers role., using Touhula's pedagogical annual plan, Touhula Rhytm and Espoo Pre School curriculum. Preparing the individual ECEC and pre-primary education plans for all children in the group is also included to your tasks.

As a pre- school teacher, you must have sufficient knowledge and experience in Finnish pre-primary education.The qualification means: Bachelor of Education, graduated from a Finnish University, or a qualification recognition from the Finnish National Agency for Education (OPH) for preschool teacher eligibility. Fluent Finnish is requirement, as you work closely with Espoo City Pre- School education. A language proficiency test in English is required.

- Individual support: You will plan and evaluate children's support measures in cooperation with multi-professional networks.

- Customer experience: You will be responsible for your team's high-quality customer communications and create a positive emotional atmosphere that is transmitted to families.

- Team support: You will develop an inclusive feedback culture and support colleagues in pedagogical work by utilising the team's strengths.

We offer early childhood education teachers a competitive salary that ranges from € 2831,64- 3486,53 per month. The final salary is determined by the years of work experience and any personal salary supplement based on special skills. In the interview situation, we can discuss whether your special expertise is taken into account and whether the salary is placed more precisely in the salary range.

- An extract from the criminal record in accordance with the Act and an account in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act

- Early childhood education and care teacher qualifications under the Act on Early Childhood Education and Care
