Process Development Manager, TFS-SeriesLead advanced ALD process development at the forefront of thin film innovation.Beneq is looking for a Process Development Manager to join our Advanced ALD Business Unit in Espoo, Finland. In this role, youll lead and contribute to advanced ALD process development activities supporting our research and semiconductor customers worldwide.This is a hands-on technical leadership role combining approximately 80% process development work and 20% team leadership and coordination. You will manage a small team of two Process Development Engineers while remaining deeply involved in experimental work, process optimization, and customer-driven development projects.Youll work closely with customers, Product Management, Engineering, and application experts to develop and optimize ALD processes that demonstrate the full value of Beneqs advanced ALD solutions.If you enjoy combining technical expertise, experimentation, customer collaboration, and team leadership in a high-tech environment, this could be an excellent next step in your career.Your RoleAs a Process Development Manager, you will lead and execute ALD process development activities focused on developing new and optimized thin film processes for advanced applications and customer needs.You will combine hands-on laboratory and cleanroom work with team coordination responsibilities, supporting project prioritization, development planning, and daily guidance for the Process Development team.The role combines technical expertise, analytical problem-solving, customer interaction, and people leadership in an international high-tech environment.What Youll Be DoingDevelop and optimize ALD processes in laboratory and cleanroom environmentsLead process development projects for research ALD customersLead and support a small team of two Process Development Engineers and one Equipment EngineerCoordinate project priorities, schedules, and resource planningConduct process characterization, analysis, and optimization activitiesMaintain thorough process documentation, measurements, and reportingAct as a technical contact for customers and internal stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement of process development methodologies and practicesSupport development of new process capabilities and application areasWhat Were Looking ForMSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or another relevant fieldStrong understanding of ALD, thin film deposition, or related technologiesHands-on experience in process development and experimental workIndustry experience in thin film, vacuum coating, semiconductor, or other high-tech manufacturing environmentsExperience with statistical analysis, Design of Experiments (DoE), and process optimizationFamiliarity with thin film characterization and measurement methodsStrong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively across teamsStrong communication and customer interaction skillsExcellent English language skillsNice to HavePrevious experience in team leadership or project coordinationExperience in high-tech industriesKnowledge of process simulations or data analysis toolsCustomer-facing experience in technical environmentsExperience working in cleanroom environmentsWhy Join Beneq?At Beneq, youll work with one of the worlds leading ALD teams in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment where technical expertise and curiosity are highly valued.Youll join a skilled international team working on advanced semiconductor and thin film solutions with customers around the world.
