We are now looking for a Product Development Manager/Engineer to join our product development team located in Tampere Finland.

What you will do

  • Manage and develop solutions for new coating and printing technologies
  • Lead and facilitate development projects
  • Investigate new technologies and follow digitalization trends in label printing
  • Transform market opportunities into product solutions together with our business organization
  • Be the main technical contact towards selected suppliers
  • Support sourcing in supplier management and development
  • Develop partnership with key industrial stakeholders

Who you are

  • You have M.Sc. or B.Sc. from materials, chemistry, printing or equivalent experience
  • You have experience or knowledge about pressure sensitive labelling, raw materials used in labelling solutions and printing methods used for labels. Experience from digital printing / smart labelling technologies are seen as a benefit
  • You have project management experience and use of statistical methods
  • You have good collaboration skills, and you are also able to work with your own initiative
  • You have good communication skills, and you are able to build networks in and outside UPM
  • You have analytical and problem-solving mindset, and you are eager to learn new things
  • You are fluent in Finnish and English, other languages are seen as asset
