What you will do
UPM Plywood is expanding in the U.S. market and strengthening its position in other growth regions. This role combines market development with hands-on customer work and offers a significant opportunity to influence UPM Plywood's global expansion. Your tasks will include:
- Supporting UPM Plywood's early stage market entry in the U.S. and develop sales in other selected growth markets
- Identifying new business opportunities and create strong, lasting customer relationships, in-line with UPM Plywood commercial strategy
- Managing sales negotiations, prepare proposals, and support pricing and contract activities
- Working closely with internal stakeholders, like supply chain, marketing, and technical support to ensure high-quality customer experience
- Monitoring and analyzing market developments to support strategic planning and decision-making
- Participating in international customer visits, meetings, and industry events
- Contributing to building market entry structures and long-term development initiatives
Who you are
- You have at least a Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field
- You have experience in B2B sales, preferably in industrial, construction, or material based product categories
- Previous experience on U.S. market is seen as a benefit
- You are open to flexible working hours to support collaboration with the U.S. market
- You have a strong commercial mindset and interest in international business development
- You have ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment where markets and structures are evolving
- You have analytical skills, structured working style, and strong communication abilities
- You have excellent English skills, additional languages are an asset
- You have willingness and ability to travel internationally
