We are looking for an experiencedSenior Manager / Manager, Data and AI Solutions to join the Ponsse Digital Services and IT team
Group Digital Services and IT team is at the core of Ponsse's future offerings, connecting the physical and digital space. We are building the next generation of digital and AI‑driven services to deliver functional and delightful solutions for Ponsse customers and our global business network. With a strong state‑of‑the‑art cloud foundation on Microsoft Azure, modern data technologies, and cutting‑edge AI capabilities, our teams work together with Ponsse's best experts and partners to develop the next leap in intelligent forestry.
In this new role, you will lead Ponsse's Data and AI development team consisting of data, AI and API specialists. The team you will be leading is responsible for Ponsse's entire data asset - from enabling high‑quality, scalable data platforms to creating intelligent services for Ponsse's forest machines and Ponsse business. You will guide the development of Ponsse's data, AI and API platforms and take a leading role in Ponsse's AI development initiatives globally.
This is a key leadership role in building data‑driven solution offerings and driving Ponsse's AI transformation.
You will work on creating new data‑ and AI‑based services for forest machine owners and operators, drive predictive maintenance solutions, and contribute to sustainable forestry innovations. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to projects across Ponsse's market areas.
Your experience and expertise?
- Proven experience in leading roles within data, AI or advanced analytics domains
- Strong understanding of modern data and AI technologies and experience with AI development projects
- Experience in leading multidisciplinary technical teams
- Ability to drive global development initiatives and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong leadership mindset with strategic and hands‑on capabilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, data science or a related field
Experience with Agile methodologies, data management frameworks and AI solutions is considered a plus.

You will be part of the Ponsse Digital Services and IT team, reporting to the Chief Digital Officer, and collaborating with teams globally across Ponsse's countries and subsidiaries.
Your working location is negotiable - primary sites are Ponsse offices Kuopio or Tampere, but the role can be based in any of Ponsse's European locations. We work in a hybrid model. Some travelling will be required in this role.
