a ship hull assembler / plate-fitter to shipyard

In this role, you will perform diverse and demanding sheet metal work in a shipyard environment where quality, safety, and teamwork are key priorities. The work tasks are performed during section, block and ships hull assembly stages, both outside and inside of production halls. Your tasks will include the fabrication and installation of steel structures, as well as plating work, forming, fitting, and installing parts according to technical drawings.

WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Previous experience as a plate-fitter in a shipyard environment
- Experience in pre-assembly and assembly of ship sections and blocks, mounting blocks to the ship's hull at the dry-dock or slipway phase.
- Ability to work with gas-cutting torches, MIG/MAG and electrode welding machines, and other work-related tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Careful and safety-oriented working approach
- Initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Occupational safety and hot work cards valid in Finland (if you dont have any, we still can consider you after negotiations)
- Ability to speak English and/or Russian since our team is diverse and speaks different languages, and we want our employees to understand each other.
