About your role
We are looking for a Solution Expert to strengthen our team in maintenance, support and development of our information systems in Plant Floor IT Service.
You will work as a technical expert in Plant Floor IT service, focusing on several systems that are critical to our operations. You will perform regular maintenance actions, issue resolution, changes and technical support for the systems in your responsibility area. The work is done in close cooperation with business administrators, other members of the Orion Information Management organization as well as external application vendors and Orion IM partners.
An important part of your work is participating in development projects, where you act as an IT expert with the ability to see the big picture while maintaining focus on the details. As a member of a cross-functional project team, you will define user requirements, coordinate IT environment installations, support system integrations, troubleshoot technical issues and take part in testing and validation to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
This is a fixed-term and full-time position until end of March 2027 located either in Espoo or Turku and we also support a hybrid working model. The starting date is negotiable, but preferably during April 2026.
Your key responsibilities
- Ensure proper operation of our information systems
- Provide second level support, utilize third level support channels when necessary
- Solve problems in the information systems and/or integrations
- Perform regular maintenance actions
- Manage technical system configuration and documentation
- Implement and/or facilitate implementation of technical changes
- Perform testing and documentation to comply with the industry regulations
- Seek for optimal technical solutions to meet the business demands
- Act as a subject matter expert and technical support in concepting, implementation and upgrade projects

Our expectations
To succeed in this position, we expect you to have the following:
- Experience on application support and technical information system management in a corporate organization
- Capability to understand architectural design of own solutions
- Experience on cloud and on-premise based solutions and data flows between information systems
- Basic IT technical knowledge and/or capability & mindset to learn more on e.g. integrations, networking, certificates, DNS, firewall rules, authentication, Azure services
- Ability to understand business needs and translate those into small enhancements or solutions
- Ownership, initiative and drive. You take accountability of the issues that occur and are motivated by solving problems and seeing the results of your work in effective use
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, positive "can do" attitude as well as taking responsibility
- Capability to utilize a support network and expertise of others
- Team and business first mindset, ability to work, collaborate and communicate effectively with various cross-functional stakeholders
- Fluent language skills in English, Finnish is a plus
Considered as an advantage:
- Experience of managing applications in regulated life sciences / pharmaceutical industry
- Experience on working in multivendor environment
- Service management framework knowledge
