As a Summer Trainee - Automation Engineering, you will:
Participate in the development of automation systems for crushing and screening equipment:
- Design and program control systems
- Modify and build test simulators
- Test control systems and automation components
- Create automation support documentation like manuals and training materials
- Modify development tools
Please note that the role is adjusted to match your skills and experience.
Who you are
- Currently pursuing a degree in fields such as Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Software Engineering
- Eagerness to learn, grow, and excel in the role
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Basic level knowledge of control systems, fieldbuses (like CAN, OPC UA, Modbus etc.), electrics, and software
- Experience with C, C++, Qt, Python, IEC 61131-3, Git, and Jira is seen as an advantage
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required; Finnish skills are beneficial but not mandatory.

The Automation Engineering team focuses on the development and maintenance of control and monitoring systems for crushing and screening equipment, which operate in harsh environments, demanding high endurance, quality, reliability, and usability. Many of our summer trainees continue their employment with us part-time, full-time, or with their thesis after the summer.

The expected monthly salary for our full-time trainee roles is between 2130-2970 euros per month. The exact monthly salary for each role is based on the candidate's number of completed academic credits and job location.
Our Summer Trainee positions are primarily targeted at students currently studying at, or recently graduated from, an educational institution in Finland, as well as Finnish students pursuing their studies abroad. Please note that we are unable to provide work permits or relocation services for these positions.
