As our Demand Planning Trainee, you'll immediately become a valued part of the Parts & Logistics Solutions' Demand Planning team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the demand forecasting and planning processes of selected scope of spare parts.

The purpose of the role is to ensure the supply chain is aligned with market demand, leading to efficient inventory management, cost control, and superior customer availability. You will collaborate with other functions within our Parts & Logistics Solutions business line to gain hands-on experience in supply chain management and development. You'll contribute directly to meaningful projects and see the impact of your work.

This is a full-time traineeship on a fixed-term position, located in Tampere, Finland. The trainee period typically runs from May to August, with exact timing to be mutually agreed upon with your manager.

What are your key responsibilities:

  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the S&OP process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to align forecasts, share insights, and foster effective communication.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze demand and supply chain data to identify trends and anomalies, and contribute to regular reports and KPIs for senior management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and drive a culture of operational excellence across the supply chain.
  • Risk Management: Develop and support strategies to mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring resilience and minimizing customer impact.
  • Cost & Inventory Management: Optimize inventory levels, minimize supply chain costs, and maintain high standards of service and quality.

What you bring to the role:

  • Academic Background in Industrial & Supply Chain Management: You are currently studying towards a degree in Industrial Engineering & Management, Information Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or a similar field, and are eager to apply your academic knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment.
  • Early Exposure & Curiosity: Previous experience from industrial companies or Spare Parts & Service businesses is considered an advantage, but not required - your motivation, curiosity, and willingness to learn matter most.
  • Proactive & Learning-Oriented Mindset: You bring a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy developing your skills in a dynamic, international setting.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: You have strong analytical thinking and enjoy working with data, identifying patterns, and solving complex problems.
  • Technical & Communication Skills: You communicate confidently in English and have experience, or interest, in using tools such as SAP, QlikSense, Google Workspace, BI tools, and Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
