We are looking for an enthusiastic
University Trainee (Programme Coordinator)
to join us in the International Affairs Team for the period of 1st June - 31st August 2026.
As part of the University of Oulu's internationalisation measures, we will be organising the Arctic Summer Programme, a two-week summer study programme for international students, between 3-14 August 2026.
About the Job
As a programme coordinator trainee, your duties include:
- Planning and practical implementation of the social programme and events that are part of the Arctic Summer Programme
- Generic logistical and organisational support and scheduling
- Support the recruitment and coordination of student volunteers
- Enquiry support and communication with participants and other stakeholders
You will be the primary support person for participants during the Arctic Summer programme.
Qualifications
What we expect from you:
- Excellent organisational and customer service skills
- Skills to communicate clearly in pressurised situations
- Excellent English language skills
- You must be a current enrolled student at the University of Oulu or the Oulu University of Applied Sciences (Oamk)
- The traineeship must form part of your studies. If you are selected for the position, you must confirm that you are able to include this traineeship in your studies
We also appreciate:
- Previous experience in successful event production, programme planning and customer interface
- Finnish language skills (not a requirement)
- Sufficient knowledge about the city of Oulu and the University of Oulu in order to introduce both to participants

Duration: 1st June - 31st August 2026 (full-time)
Salary: 1687,47 EUR/month
