We are looking for Advanced Process Control Specialist to join our Performance Services Global team in Finland.
Valmet Automation Solutions Performance Services provides high level expert services to optimize our customer's mill performance in terms of production, quality, cost, and environmental impact.
As an Application Specialist, you will perform performance analysis of clients' multidimensional processes to identify potential improvements. You troubleshoot and correct performance problems by yourself in our automation system. You will develop and maintain customer performance improvement roadmap as well as develop advanced control and optimization solutions. You will work as a product lead engineer and provide technical expert support to project and service personnel in the design of advanced control strategies, technology implementation, commissioning and maintenance of advanced process control and real time optimization solutions.
The primary location for this position is in Tampere.
Expectations
You have a strong knowledge in control engineering, process modeling, and advanced control technologies, such as Model Predictive Control. Process background from municipal or industrial water treatment would be preferred. You can be a rising talent with 2-3 years of experience in the field.
B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degree in Chemical, Environmental or Control Engineering is a good educational background for you. In addition, we value it if you have some experience in process performance analysis, troubleshooting and optimization, plant process operations, engineering, and maintenance. Valmet DNA engineering tools previous usage is a plus. Process modeling and data analysis are topics that you feel comfortable with as well. In global organization, you need to have fluent written and spoken English, other languages are a plus.
As a person, you are an analytical, problem-solving specialist who can see the big picture and develop our solutions and technology forward. You are used to collaborating with different people, and you can keep your customer service mindset also in challenging situations. Developing new ways of working, driving change, and hands-on attitude towards work is close to your heart.
