Introduction

We are seeking Application Specialist, Engineering, to join the Engineering & PLM team in Metso IT Applications. You will be part of the team responsible for the development and advanced support of PLM Applications and related interfaces. Your role plays a crucial part in Metso PLM-roadmap implementation and we are looking for a person experienced in 3DExperience Enovia. In this position, you will report to Markku Pienimäki, Manager, Equipment Engineering & PLM Applications.

This position is located in Finland, Espoo, or Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. We also hope you are willing to travel when needed (<20% of the work schedule).

Team you belong to

You will join a team of Engineering and PLM professionals in IT dedicated to fulfilling needs and requirements from business areas. We are currently working on to support Corporate ERP initiative and consolidation of PLM environment.

We work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, such as Engineering & PLM team members, business representatives, partners and peer IT teams. You also interact with peers and follow overall applications development in other companies.

What you'll do

• Collect and document requirements.
• Perform functional analysis.
• Design, build/test/document solutions as required and perform knowledge transfers to stakeholders.
• Be part of agile development team(s) where you contribute to planning as well as execution of development initiatives.
• Support the users and Application Owner in troubleshooting both application and business process issues.

Who you are

• To succeed in the role, you should have a strong background in Dassault Systemes 3DExperience Enovia solution. Previous experience with Solidworks is seen as an advantage.
• We assume you have a minimum of 3 years of related experience and a bachelor's or master's degree in either information technology or engineering.
• Although not a prerequisite, a good understanding of SAFe, Lean, and Agile ways of working is preferable.
• We are looking for a person who has good skills and an understanding of business processes and requirements and is willing to cooperate with different stakeholders.
• A development-oriented mindset and ambition to improve the ways to operate is essential in this role.
• Self-directed working style, and you are used to working in a hectic and multitasking environment.
• Excellent communication skills and full working proficiency in English.
