The opportunity
We are looking for an Area Sales Manager to join Hitachi Energy's Transformers business in Vaasa. In this role, you will contribute to shaping the sales strategy and develop sales plans for your assigned area. You will work closely with local sales organizations to analyse customer needs, market trends, and relevant data from Hitachi Energy systems, turning insights into actionable sales initiatives.
This role will offer you to interact with our salespersons globally. You will participate in and/or lead global and local workshops related to improving products, systems and ways of working.
How you'll make an impact
- Communicating the value propositions of Hitachi Energy products, systems and services for transformers
- Supporting local sales organizations and customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions
- Providing technical support in technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations
- Defining sales prices based on market prices and cost calculations
- Entering and maintaining sales and customer information into Hitachi Energy's sales tools and CRM systems
- Conducting review meetings for customer opportunities and kick-offs (handovers for projects that have been won)
- Providing after-sales support in resolving customers' issues and first-order analysis
Your background
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or business administration
- A few years' experience in a relevant position
- Good skills with Microsoft Office applications. Skills with Salesforce is a plus.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English. Good written and spoken Finnish and Swedish skills are considered an advantage.
- Ideally you have basic knowledge of electrical systems, especially of transformers
