Are you a business-minded finance professional with a passion for driving results?

We're looking for a Controller to strengthen our PEC finance team in Finland. In this role, you'll collaborate with colleagues around the world in a team that values partnership, innovation and continuous improvement. Your expertise will help the business mitigate financial risks, secure cashflow and safeguard delivery project margins. You'll gain an excellent overview of global projects while working closely with key internal stakeholders in Business Finance, Sales, Project Management, Treasury, Global Supply and Operational Finance.

Your responsibilities

• You support Business Areas with FX hedging risk identification

• You execute FX hedge orders in Nomentia Trezone and ensure end‑to‑end accuracy

• You monitor and analyze project hedges to ensure compliance with Valmet Treasury Policy and IFRS 9 hedge‑effectiveness requirements

• You perform monthly reporting tasks and support Business Areas with hedge‑accounting analysis

• You support Business Areas with monthly cash‑inflow estimates

• You participate in finance process and system development and other strategic initiatives as needed

• You arrange trainings to ensure strong competence in financial‑risk management according to Valmet policies

• You support customer contract establishment and customer‑invoicing tasks in our ERP (Infor LN)

Expectations for you

• You have a Master's degree in Economics or a relevant field

• You have proven experience in controller or similar finance roles, preferably in an industrial environment

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills in Finnish and English

• You work independently, proactively, and with a development‑oriented mindset

• You have strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills

• You are proficient in Excel and Power BI

• You take initiative, adapt well to change, and perform under pressure

• You have solid knowledge of general and analytical accounting and controlling

The role will be adjusted based on your experience, and you can be based at our office in Jyväskylä or Tampere.
