We are now looking for a
DIRECTOR, PEOPLE AND CULTURE
to act a strategic people partner to the Finnair Customer unit responsible for Finnair customer experience, acquisition, loyalty, and profitability. In this role you will proactively support the Unit leadership team and senior leaders in identifying organizational development opportunities and implementing the business strategy from a people perspective.
You will be accountable for leading the people agenda and annual people processes within your business area, with the support of HR process owners. You will lead the development and implementation of the unit's People Plan in alignment with Finnair's overall people agenda. In particular, your role will focus on organizational design, talent, capability and culture development to support the growth and development of our commercial operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for Customer Unit's monthly people metrics and forecasting.
We are looking for an experienced Business HR professional, accustomed to working with leadership teams as a strategic business partner and also providing hands-on support when needed. Ideally, you have experience from digital customer business in growing retail and loyalty businesses on an international scale.
Main responsibilities in your business area:

Act as the business unit's strategic people partner.

Support our commercial unit's leadership teams and leaders in building the organization and strengthening its capabilities to drive Finnair's strategy forward.

Create and implement talent and competence development initiatives together with the business and HRD team.

Lead the implementation of the People Plan and people processes across the unit. Support leaders with senior-level recruitments.

Drive Finnair's culture and values-based leadership.

Support and develop wellbeing and workability topics.

Maintain awareness and understanding of people data, including forecasting and analysis.
From you, we wish:

+8 years of experience in versatile people-related roles.

Experience in leading cultural and/or other transformation projects.

Expertise and a proven track record in capability development, preferably in commercial and digital areas.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Fluency in Finnish is seen as an asset.

Team player with an independent, proactive, and developmental working style.

Customer-centric and structured way to approach new challenges.

Positive, hands-on mindset.

Master's degree from a relevant field.
