General Maintenance Manager

The Services Business Line offers sustainable services to Pulp, Paper and Board, Tissue and Energy customers. Our offering has grown from traditional services to comprehensive long-term solutions that integrate Valmet as a significant part of our customers' operations at the mill. We are committed to help our customers to have safe and more reliable operations, lower maintenance costs and improved production performance.

Currently we are running maintenance outsourcing agreements globally and continuously deliver services for maintenance establishment phase. There is positive outlook for the maintenance development and operations development services in the market. We are now looking for a mill maintenance management professional who can further boost our maintenance establishment, development and mill maintenance improvement projects.

The General Maintenance Manager role performs and participate mill maintenance audits and assessments, manage maintenance contract establishment projects, supports globally sales and support customers to get mill maintenance forward.

In this position you are responsible for

• Performing mill maintenance audits and assessments

• Support maintenance and performance agreements

• Support selected sales projects

• Manage maintenance establishment and development projects

• Contribute to and continuously improve the Valmet Way To Operate framework for mill maintenance operation

• Additionally, you will be participating and giving your valuable insights to R&D projects as well as marketing activities and maintenance operations business development.

The General maintenance manager needs to have maintenance management experience as well as deep knowledge of 

• mill maintenance processes and maintenance strategies 

• daily maintenance and shutdown management hands on experience

• understanding of maintenance systems

We wish you to have master's or bachelor's degree from a relevant field of studies and have preferably at least 5 years of related experience with deep understanding of the industry, including maintenance management. You are self-driven with proactive attitude, and you also enjoy working with people and you're not afraid of telling your insight. This global role requires your willingness and ability to travel on an international basis.
