Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, Vantaa

Suomen Kuljetuslaite Oy, part of the MEKO Group (formerly Koivunen Oy), is looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our professional and friendly team in Hakkila, Vantaa.
We specialize in the maintenance and repair of trucks, trailers and superstructures across multiple brands. Our work focuses mainly on practical mechanical repairs and maintenance of 5-15-year-old vehicles.

Your Role

As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will work with a wide range of service and repair tasks including:
- Inspection repairs for 5-15-year-old trucks and trailers
- Brake system repairs (calipers, hubs, bearings)
- Axle and suspension work
- Air brake system repairs
- Trailer maintenance (axles, air bellows, brake systems)
- Tail lift and HIAB crane repairs
- Engine repairs including common rail injector work
- Diagnostics using professional multi-brand diagnostic tools and systems such as Bosch KTS, Autocom and WABCO diagnostics
Most of the work involves hands-on mechanical repairs, supported by diagnostic tools when required.
You will work with digital tablets and workshop management systems (FutureSoft, ProMIDI). Basic IT skills are required.
Please note that our internal systems are in Finnish.

- Strong experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Ability to work independently in a multi-brand environment (e.g. Volvo, Scania)
- Good understanding of air brake systems and axle components
- Experience with diagnostics and workshop systems is considered a strong advantage
- Team spirit, initiative and a proactive working attitude
- Understanding of workplace safety standards
This role requires someone comfortable working with fleet vehicles that require practical mechanical expertise and independent work.
