About GE Vernova Grid Solutions

GE Vernova's Grid Solutions business serves customers globally with over 17,000 employees in more than 80 countries. Grid Solutions helps enable the transition to a more reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy system by bringing together advanced technologies and expertise across the power grid value chain. The business provides equipment, systems, and services for the transmission, distribution, and conversion of electricity, supporting utilities and industries in building the grid of the future. Growth in areas such as renewable energy integration, grid modernization, electrification, and increasing power demand from AI and data center infrastructure is further driving the need for advanced grid solutions.

In Tampere, our teams contribute to the development and delivery of Flexible AC Transmission Systems (FACTS) and STATCOM solutions, which play an important role in improving power system stability, voltage control, and grid performance. These technologies are essential for integrating renewable energy, increasing transmission efficiency, and supporting the evolving needs of modern power systems. They are also increasingly relevant in supporting fast-growing demand related to AI infrastructure, data centers, industrial electrification, and other evolving grid requirements.

The role is positioned in an international working environment, with close collaboration across teams and stakeholders in Stafford, UK; USA; India; Germany; and Finland.

Role Overview

The NPI Engineers RTDS / HIL Test will be responsible for supporting testing and validation activities in a complex technical environment, with the main responsibility for running RTDS tests and coordinating related test activities.
